Draft, public, private or archived: who can see my trip
A trip is always in one of four states. Change it from the status dropdown under Setup → General.
| Status | Travelers | Discover and your organizer page | Search engines | You |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Draft | Cannot open the trip page | Not shown | No | Edit freely |
| Published, public | Can read and book | Listed | Yes | Itinerary edits wait for Publish Changes |
| Published, private | Can read and book with the link | Not listed | No | Same as public |
| Archived | Cannot open the trip page | Not shown | No | Read-only history |
Two more labels appear on top of these, set by the dates: Active while the trip is running and Completed after it ends.
- Public to private is always allowed. Private to public needs the publishing checklist.
- Back to draft, or to archived, is blocked once the trip has participants, requests or payments. Finished trips are archived in place.
- There is no delete. Archive instead.
