Pay in full or by deposit and installments

Some trips let you pay a deposit now and the rest in installments. The choice appears on the Review step of checkout, and you can see the full schedule before you decide.

All three must be true: the trip offers payment plans, you are booking for one traveler, and the trip’s booking deadline is still ahead.

One payment: the trip price plus the service charge.

  • Now: the deposit the organizer set, either a fixed amount or a percentage, plus the service charge.
  • Later: the remaining balance split into equal installments, between two and the maximum the organizer allows. Review shows the dates and amounts.
  • Installments are charged automatically to the card you paid the deposit with, on each due date. You can also pay the next one early from your trip’s Payments tab. See Pay a balance or installment.

It covers card processing and Navigator’s fee. It is shown before you pay and is not refunded if you cancel. It is a little higher on a plan because each installment is a separate card payment.

The choice you make at checkout can be changed in the Payments tab until you pay: both options are shown again there. Once a plan is active, you can pay off the remaining balance at any time with no extra charge.
