Waitlisted is a request, not a booking. Nothing is charged and nothing is held for you.

Who acts next

The organizer. When a place frees up they choose who to invite. There is no queue order and no automatic promotion.

What you receive

If invited: “A spot opened up: trip” with a personal link that opens checkout for you while the trip stays closed to others. Book from that link; it approves you automatically. See Use a booking invitation.

If you change your mind

There is nothing to cancel. Ignore the invitation if one arrives, or ask the organizer to remove you from the list.
